The ultimate Porsche 911 2.4 is the "S" version. This car was the base for the famous 2.7 Carrera RS, and is very closely related to this iconic 911.
With 190 bhp available from the six cilinder boxer engine, the performance is almost in Carrera RS territory, and so is the driving experience.
Only 1430 examples were build in 1973, which makes it quite a rare car as well.
The example we have now in our inventory is a full matching nrs car (with Porsche Certificate), completely restored and kept in its original colour of Emerald Green (code 227), also known as Viper Green.
This colour is very seventies, and suits this wonderful 911 very well. The interior has the important Recaro seat option, finished in immaculate black vinyl with cloth inserts.
The restoration took 2 years, and included body, engine and gearbox. It is absolutely perfect inside and outside.
It has the rare option of a 4-speed gearbox, which was available on special request. This gearbox was stronger then the standard 5-speed gearbox, and was often specified by owners who wanted to use their cars on the track.
This is one of the great classic Porsches, and while values of the 2.7 Carrera RS are going stratospheric, the 2.4 S is still good value. The question is just for how much longer, as prices did start to increase over the last two years already. This example is such a fine one, that it will appeal immediately to the Porsche collector who wants one of the very best.
