This is a beautiful example of the iconic Jaguar E-Type, more specificly the sought-after 3,8 Litre variant in Open Two Seater version. It was completely restored over a period of several years, and since finished hardly used.
This Jaguar is a pleasure to drive, and shows perfectly what an impressive car a well-sorted E-Type can be. The powerful engine runs very smooth, and produces a great sound when pushed. Roadholding is very good for a car from the early sixties, and the brakes match the overall performance of this design icon. The interior has just the right amount of patina, and looks gorgeous with its aluminium centre panel and console.
In combination with the early bucket seats, it is one of the nicest interiors ever made by Jaguar, and much more desirable then the later Series 2 cars. This roadster is matching nrs, but had one improvement : a 5-speed Borg Warner T5 manual gearbox, which makes driving on the motorway a lot easier and more quiet. This E-Type is now available for less then the cost of a restoration, and is ready to go anywhere.
