This is a genuine Mk1 Mini Cooper S in the same desirable colour combination as the factory rally cars. This car comes out of a private collection, and has been rarely used on the road since the full nut and bolt restoration. The engine is the 1275S variant, and has been slightly modified for fast road use.
This Mini has the double petrol tank (which was an option in 1964), and is equipped with Minilite wheels. These cars are extremely rare at the moment, because only 7824 Morris Cooper S in 1275S guise were build from 1964 till 1967. Finding one in this condition is even more surprising. This model is very sought after, because it will be eligible for the upcoming FIA Classic Rally championship. 45 years ago, Paddy Hopkirk proved already that the Cooper S is a very competitive car in the right hands...
