The GT 1300 Junior was the entry model to the Alfa Romeo coupe range. It was introduced in 1965 as the replacement for the 101 series Giulia Sprint 1600, which was the final development of the Giulietta Sprint series. The smaller engine was introduced in order to allow buyers to choose an Alfa Romeo coupe while avoiding the higher taxes on the models with larger engine capacity, especially in Alfa Romeo's home Italian market. The GT 1300 Junior remained in production for over a decade.

This particular car is an example of the first series, with the "Scalino" or step-nose bonnet. It features the flat dashboard, as only fitted to the early cars.It was delivered new in Belgium in 1967 and first registred on the 16th of April 1968. The car was completely restored in 2018-2019, and painted in its original colour "Verde Muschio". During the professional restoration, the car was fitted with a powerful 2,0 litre Nord engine producing 152 bhp (but the original 1300 cc engine block is still with the car as well). The rear axle is also from the stronger 2,0 litre version and includes a factory LSD. The suspension is a fantastic Alfaholics Fast Road Stage 1, and also the GTA style wheels are supplied by Alfaholics. The brakes are improved as well, and a great soundtrack is guaranteed by the Alfaholics stainless steel exhaust system. Inside the Alfa Romeo, a beautiful GTA steering wheel is fitted as well as comfortable BF Torino bucket seats.
