The Ferraristi who were waiting for a true successor to the gorgeous Dino 246 had their prayers answered when the Ferrari 308 GTB was unveiled at the Paris Motorshow in 1975. Ferrari returned to Pininfarina for the 308 GTB's styling, and this 2-seater mid-engined coupe sat on a chassis with a wheelbase that was eight inches shorter than the GT4 upon which it was based. Production started with the GTB Berlinetta in 1976, with the 308 GTS Targa variant being introduced in 1977. Ferrari produced just over 12.000 examples of the 308 from 1976 to 1985. These 3-liter V-8 powered 1980s icons represent an excellent way to enter into Ferrari ownership due to their relative affordability and ease of ownership A 308 is great fun to own and to drive, and good examples are increasing in value every year.

This fantastic example was delivered new in 1979 by Ferrari West in Monterey to its first owner, a certain Mr. Leventhal in Sun Valley, Idaho. In 2007, it went to the second owner in Omaha, Nebraska who sold it to the third owner in Holland with only 14.000 miles on the clocks. This was an incredibly original car, finished in the gorgeous colour combination of Grigio Ferro Metallizzato with a red leather interior. When the car came to Holland, the new owner decided to give it a repaint in its original colour, and changed it to European spec front and rear bumpers which is so much nicer. The beautiful interior was kept completely original, and still looks fantastic today. The car had a few factory options (metallic paint, 16" wheels and airconditioning), which are still fitted. All the books and tools are still with the car, and the documentation file contains many invoices from the work done to the car in the last 12 years.

Today it has only 20.094 miles on the counter from new, which makes it a very desirable 308. On top of that it is finished in one of the best colour combinations and is an absolute gem to drive.
