The Honda CB72 Hawk 250 was introduced in February 1961 and produced until 1967. It is the epitome of a classic Honda motorbike : inclined twin cilinder overhead camshaft engine sitting in a race style frame. In combination with the twin leading shoe brakes front and rear, it was THE motorcycle of the mid sixties. The 247 cc engine produces a healthy 25 bhp at 9200 rpm, enough for a top speed in excess of 150 kph. Today, the CB72 Hawk is a sought after classic Honda around the world.
This example was delivered new in Germany, so a European specification model. It has been restored some years ago and still in a very nice condition. It now has a Belgian road registration and is may need some small recommissioning after standing still in a private collection for some years. We also have another CB72 available from 1964, who has some tasteful improvements to create a proper café racer look.
