We have again an excellent and desirable E-Type in stock. This matching nrs E-Type 3.8 OTS with chassisnr 875545 is an early "flat floor" car, manufactured on 15.09.1961 and delivered new in Belgium, so an original european version with compression ratio 8:1. The car stayed in the same family ownership until 1981, when a world famous belgian cartoonist purchased the car and had it completely nut-and-bolt restored by Phoenix Restorations. This restoration took almost three years, and is detailed with a huge file of invoices. The car was sold again in 1991 to its third owner, who kept the car in his summer residence in the South of France, where the car was dry stored and meticulously maintained. Today this car still looks absolutely stunning, and it is hard to believe it was restored more then 30 years ago.
It is one of the very best E-types we ever had in stock. The engine runs very smooth, and is very powerful, the original Moss gearbox works great and suspension and brakes feel like on a new car. The body of the car is incredibly well restored, as we have never seen another E-Type with the same perfect shutlines. The interior is also completely retrimmed in the eighties, and has now just the right amount of patina. Hood and hood cover look absolutely like new. There is a huge file with the car of the fully documented restoration, and also a Heritage Certificate confirming it is a matching nrs. car.
A flat floor E-Type roadster is difficult to find, and rarely comes on the market. This car offers a great opportunity to purchase a fantastic example of this iconic Jaguar, and is now ready for viewing and testing. We expect it won't be long with us, as this kind of car is sought after by both collectors and investors.
