Another nice example of the Ferrari Dino 246 GT has just arrived. This car is from the M-series, and looks absolutely stunning in the breathtaking colour combination of Giallo Fly with black hide interior. No other colour suits a Ferrari better in my humble opinion. The design of the Dino is one of Pininfarina's masterpieces, and nowadays we can honestly say it is a piece of rolling art.
We are selling this car on behalf of the owner, for the only reason that he wants to reduce his collection. This example, with chassisnr 1780, was originally delivered in April 1971 by the Swiss Ferrari importer Savaf. In 1973, it was sold to a new Swedish owner, and it remained in Sweden until 2011. During its stay in Sweden, the car had 4 owners, and was restored by one of them. The Dino has now a Belgian registration.
Driving this Dino is very entertaining. The engine starts on the button, and idles very smooth with a delicious rumble from the four exhausts. The gearbox is incredibly slick for a Dino, and on the road it is a revelation. The powerful engine pulls this reasonably light car to illegal speeds all too easily, and changing gears is a real pleasure (which can't be said of many Dino's...). There are no rattles or other funny noises to hear, and the car feels as solid as a rock. The Dino was in the early seventies serious Italian competition for the early Porsche 911, and this example is still a match for much more modern machinery.
If you are looking for one of the best driving Dino's on the market, then this one must be on your list. It goes as well as it looks !
