Historic racing is becoming increasingly popular, as it is much fun and relatively affordable compared to competition with modern racing cars. Many events are organised, and there is a huge choice in national and international races. One very popular car to participate is the Porsche 911, as it is reliable and powerful.
This car is just finished, and did only two races as a testcase. Everything went fine, and now we are proud to offer this car on the market. The 911 comes with FIA HTP papers for period G2 (1966 - 1971) in FIA Class GTS21. It has a blueprinted 2247 ccm 6-cilinder boxer engine - dry sump - with standard "S Biral cilinders and 85 mm JE pistons. Compression ratio is 10,3:1. It features standard "S" camshafts and Weber 46 carburettors. The engine has twin spark ignition, and two front oil coolers. Further there is a limited slip differential and 5-speed close ratio gearbox. The front brake discs are aluminium, while the rears are made of steel. There is also a 23 mm torsion bar at the front and Bilstein shock absorbers, At the rear, a 30 mm torsion bar is fitted with medium shock absorbers. Front and rear wings, bonnet and bumpers are made of fibreglass, and the side and rear windows are all plexiglass. The inside door skins are in aluminium. The total weight of the car is 960 kg. Of course, the racing seat, racing harness and rollcage are all FIA approved.
This fantastic Porsche is ready to race, and building a car to a similar specification will cost more then our asking price (and then you still need to purchase a donor car as well...). Now available in our showroom in Sint-Niklaas for viewing and testing.
